By the end of December, the Great Migration typically arrives in Ndutu, bringing with it around two million animals. Wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles gather here to give birth to their calves and remain in the area until April. From December to March, thousands of young animals are born each day. The nutrient-rich grasses of Ndutu provide ideal nourishment for the newborns, and the short grass allows adults to spot approaching predators from a distance.
