Itinerary
You will start early in the morning at 7:00 am with a pick up from your hotel at Arusha. you will head towards Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro conservation area.
You will drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will enjoy the game drive en route. Arrival at Serengeti National Park is in the early afternoon - and you will do a game drive until sunset. Serengeti offers one of the most amazing game viewings in Africa:
Great herds of buffalo and wildebeests, groups of elephant and giraffes, eland, impala and Grant’s gazelle, Lions, leopards and others, can be seen very often. Dinner Overnight at Seronera Campsite.
Today will be the "Serengeti game viewing day". After breakfast this morning, enjoy an amazing game drive.
The great diversity of Serengeti wildlife is evident here—look for buffalo, hippopotamus, elephant, giraffe, antelope, Thompson’s and Grant’s gazelle, and lions. If you are there during the spectacular wildebeest migration, you will be more than astonished.
In the late afternoon, we'll venture out in another game drive. Everywhere there are animals, monkeys, and, yes, birds…but look closely and you will be thrilled to see the huge jungle cats—lion, leopard, and cheetah—watching the world go by. And go by it does. Rhino, gazelle, antelope, and massive elephants by the hundreds. Animals in the trees, flying, camouflaged in
the bush, in rivers, and in streams.
This is the adventure of a lifetime! Dinner and overnight at the same Seronera Campsite.
Enjoy early breakfast then depart to Ngorongoro Crater located in the Ngorongoro Conservation area (Ngorongoro) with en-route game drive and picnic lunch. You will reach the crater by noon where you will have lunch.
The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. It has a massive floor of about 260 sq kms with a depth of over 2000 feet. The 5-hour game drive on the crater floor will show you a lot of animal action. From the comfort of your open-top vehicle, you'll be able to observe and photograph some of Africa's most recognizable faces.
The crater is home to a large number of predators including lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, as well as a large population of wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, cape buffalos, and more. This is the last leg of your safari, with a 4hr drive left to Arusha. You will be dropped off to your preferred location in Arusha. With an incredible experience and loads of memories to cherish, this is the time you bid goodbye to your team.

FAQs: 3 days safari Serengeti & Ngorongoro
Yes. Three days is enough to see the main highlights and spot the Big Five, though the safari will be fast-paced. For the Great Migration or remote areas like Northern Serengeti, 5–7 days is recommended.
Bring neutral, layered clothing in khaki or olive, a warm jacket, hat, sunscreen, and binoculars (10Ă—42). Use soft bags only and avoid blue or black clothing.
The dry season (July–October) offers the best overall wildlife viewing. The Green Season (April–May) is more affordable, with fewer vehicles and excellent photography light. For peak months (July–August), book 6–12 months in advance due to limited availability on the Ngorongoro Crater rim.
On a road safari, Day 1 game viewing usually begins in the early afternoon (from around 14:00) after a 6–7 hour drive from Arusha. Afternoon game drives focus on prime predator activity.
A group of 4–6 travelers offers the best value, as fixed costs like the vehicle, guide, and Ngorongoro Crater fees are shared efficiently.
The luggage limit is 15 kg (33 lbs) per person, including carry-on. Soft-sided duffel bags only—hard suitcases are not allowed on small aircraft.
Day 2 focuses on Serengeti big cats (lions, cheetahs, leopards), while Day 3 is fully dedicated to the Ngorongoro Crater, targeting buffalo and the rare black rhino.
Yes. Flying avoids a 4+ hour drive to Arusha. You’ll transfer to a nearby airstrip and take a 90-minute flight, allowing game viewing until around midday.
